Empowering Adult Learners in Central New York

Q-SUCCEED-CNY is a NSF-funded program that provides adult learners—including blue-collar workers, mid-career non-technical professionals, veterans, and individuals without prior high-tech experience—with structured exposure to semiconductor, optics, and quantum technology careers.

As historic investments—such as Micron's expansion in North Syracuse—create thousands of high-tech job opportunities, many local workers remain unaware of these pathways or lack access to relevant training. Q-SUCCEED-CNY addresses this gap by providing hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, industry-aligned workshops, and career exploration activities for career changers, veterans, and individuals without prior STEM backgrounds.

By building foundational technical skills, confidence, and industry connections, the project serves as an accessible entry point into rapidly growing semiconductor and quantum-adjacent industries, helping to strengthen the regional workforce and support Central New York's economic transformation.
